Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5 is well underway, but when does Season 6 start?
It's the beginning of an exciting new season in Black Ops Cold War and Warzone, but players are already hungry for more content. After all, it's very likely that our next major update could be the final one for Black Ops Cold War as a whole.
We're already seeing confirmation that a new round-based Zombies map is coming in Cold War Season 6, and it's very possibly the last one. After that, we imagine that Call of Duty Vanguard will take the reigns, even inside Warzone.
New leaks indicate that Vanguard will bring a WW2 map to Warzone at launch, and get rid of Verdansk for good! What's more, the larger Warzone map may have planes, tanks, and more, rumors suggest.
On top of that, there's the exciting news that Warzone is getting an anti-cheat with Vanguard's launch. If this turns out to be true, we might see players finally flood back to the battle royale, just in time to prevent the game from dying.
But when does Warzone & Black Ops Cold War Season Five end and Season 6 begin?

Warzone & Cold War Season 6 Release Date
According to the official Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 5 Battle Pass, the season will end on Wednesday, October 6. Therefore, Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season 6 should release on Thursday, October 7.
However, it's worth pointing out that Season 5 was delayed by 24 hours at the last minute. With that in mind, it's entirely possible that the next major expansion will suffer a similar delay.
Black Ops Cold War and Warzone Season Six is already in the works, if new reports can be believed. In the past, Infinity Ward co-head Patrick Kelly revealed several years of content would be coming to the popular Battle Royale title.
And although we're not sure exactly how the Call of Duty Vanguard integration is going to work, we're certain it'll be a much-needed change for Warzone. Old school weapons entering the fray will be interesting though, as it'll be much harder to find a balance between modern guns and WW2 weaponry.

Thankfully, it seems that Vanguard is running on the Modern Warfare engine at least. This is sure to make it easier to bring over weapons and new content than it was with Cold War.
It should also help players jump between the two titles with relative ease. As it stands, it takes a minute to get used to Warzone after playing Cold War.
We already know that Treyarch is helping with Vanguard's Zombies mode too! And rumor has it that a Zombies Chronicles 2 is also on the way!
Let's just hope that Warzone's crazy overpowered aim assist gets an adjustment in Season Six.
