Checking Neo Geo Pins for Continuity

I can't fully understand the issue with this Neo Geo AES arcade controller *help me*
So I have a square type neo geo aes arcade controller and it has an issue I am having a hard time figuring out what the cost is and I know it's the controller itself because my other stick doesn't do this.My neo geo aes has the unibios chip inside. Now the stick and all 4 ABCD buttons work fine on this controller. The select button DOES NOT work.
However, whenever I press 'start' on this controller, I get the green screen below and my controller stops responding all together. Only if I replug my controller, I can move the menu with the stick and all 4 buttons work again.
So yeah, issue is that the 'start' button on this controller, takes me to the green screen and freezes my controller unless I replug it.
I tried deep cleaning inside and making sure for no accidental touching from other wires together. Nothing inside seems wrong.
I even swapped the (start & menu) mini board inside the stick with my other working stick and it's still given me the same issue.I even went ahead and used a spare board with micro switches for the select and start button to make sure there was no contact between the 2 of them and that still didn't solve the problem.
So at this point I am at a lost. If any of you have suggestion, please share them.
Here's what the controller currently looks like now.

Tried that just now, didn't fix it. I mean the whole line above is all connected to the same ground so I wasn't expecting any real difference. That brown wire above C apparently is the ground for the whole controller, buttons and joystick because when I desoldered that wire, nothing was working. The lime green and orange wire on D didn't do any difference when removing the second ground on it.Originally Posted by Ryoandr
From what I'm seeing here, it has to do something with the purple wire. It's simply not working correctly. It basically was registered as always pressing down, even when I used the spare micro switch on it.
Here's what the controller looks like at the moment. I desoldered off the purple wire from the START button. Now I can pause the games fine with BOTH the START and SELECT buttons.
So what, is the purple wire also a ground? I don't even know how the SELECT button is making connection with the START button as there's only the black GND wire soldered to the START button.
That black wire btw, near the bottom is GND for the joystick that's being shared and going all around the stick with 3 black small wires.

I know, something has always been screwy with this controller since I got it years ago. I'm only now addressing the full issue.Originally Posted by Ryoandr
However this is my P2 controller so as long as there getting their fake quarters inserted. Controllers good, maybe later I'll try this.
